We're Going To California!
Our tickets are booked and we're flying out July 24th through July 27th. We are so excited for the warm weather (of course, by then it will be warm here, too, HOPEFULLY!) and most excited to introduce Josie to her relatives who reside in the Golden State. She will be 6 months old at that time, and probably worlds different from the 3 month old she is right now.
Her newest thing is laughing. It sounds kind of like a braying donkey-- a lot of wheezing and sucking in. It is peppered with fake coughs, too. It's quite amusing to Eric and I! She is also getting stronger and stronger. Our little baby who could lie still has left us and is replaced with a squirmy wiggler who can somehow manage to roll and scoot all over the bed.
Her baptism is coming up, which is exciting (I'll be sure to post pictures!) We had my wedding gown made into a beautiful baptismal gown. Not only did Franny make a gown, she made a boy's bonnet and a girl's bonnet, a blankie, and a blue satchel with a handkerchief (for a future wedding), all made from my bridal gown! It will be a treasured keepsake.
Also, Josie and I are attending a baby shower this weekend-- thrown by Eric's dad's family. It will be so great to see everyone! Lots of exciting things coming up!
