Snowfall Surprise!

Talk about a surprise and a half. After seeing weather reports that the east coast and New England areas were about to get walloped by a major snow storm, Hillary and I went to bed last night thinking for once we weren't going to be the ones digging out. In fact, we rubbed it in a bit to friends in the path of the storm, just for fun. Well, we know who's getting the last laugh now. We woke up to nearly 15 inches of lake effect snow of our own. Surprise! It was supposed to be a dry night, so said our local meteorologists. The snow hugged only the areas along the lake, meaning if we lived a mile or two farther inland, we wouldn't have received a single flake. And get this, we got more snow than the "big storm" dumped out east.

As you can see below, Josie didn't seem to mind. Despite all the white stuff we've had this year, nearly 60 inches (Last winter we had a near record 100 inches), Josie for the first time dressed up in her snow gear from head to toe, and had some fun in the snow.
