100th Post! And Josie's First Boyfriend!

For our 100th posting I'd like to share with you our family outing to the Milwaukee Brewers baseball game against the first place St. Louis Cardinals. Me, Hillary, Josie, and my brother Brandon all went to the game.

As you can see, Miller Park is a really nice stadium. You never have to worry about getting rained on because there's a retractable roof. There also isn't a bad seat in the house. Our seats were fairly good. This is by far the closest we've ever sat to the action. About five foul balls were hit near us. and a broken bat came within rows of hitting us. We're actually much closer than the pictures make it seem. Look, there's Albert Pujols in the on-deck circle!

We were so close to the action, that we had seats near the Brewers' mascot Bernie! I managed to get Bernie's attention and he posed for OUR camera. Don't think he's drunk, I had the camera sideways and he was just mimicking me.

Josie absolutely loved Bernie. When she first saw him she started laughing out loud and smiling from ear to ear. After getting his attention one more time, Bernie came over for a close-up shot with the family. Bernie, why is your head so big?

After our family photograph, Josie had a moment with the Brewer.

For those unfamiliar with Brewers games, when the Brewers are up to bat, Bernie stands above a huge slide and if the team hits a home run, he'll go down it. So, eventually Bernie had to leave us. And when he did, Josie began to cry and cry. She missed her new mustachioed friend.

Later, Josie and I went for a walk. As we passed a souvenir shop, she spotted a Bernie doll in the window and yelled, "Bern!" I bought it for her.

Josie loved her new "Bern" doll. Then, she spotted Bernie again a few sections over from us and got that grin on her face again.

It was a great game! The Cardinals would eventually lose though, but Josie made a new friend. One she'll always have a reminder of.
