Halloween is coming. Josie and Jimmy already have their costumes (you'll have to wait for Halloween to see them). The decorations are up in the house, thanks to Hillary. The one thing missing: pumpkins.
So, we saddled up the kids, left the bustling city and took a trip to the farm in search of the great pumpkin. This particular farm had four different pumpkin patches, each with a different kind. We wanted the pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns.

Alas, it was the last patch along the windy dirt road. We pulled the car onto the grass and got out. We started our search together. But after a few minutes, we spread out trying to find THE one.

Josie wanted one that wasn't dirty, which was nearly impossible. She didn't give up, though. Jimmy wasn't as picky. In fact, he loved the dirt and wanted to lick it clean.

It took a while before Josie finally found her pumpkin. It had a little dirt on it, but she didn't seem to mind after all.

On our way out we picked some apples. Honeycrisp - only the best!

Now we just have to turn those pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns.
